CURRICULUM VITAE

Born on 25th September 1959 in Gradačac. Elementary school and Grammar High School completed in Gradačac. In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – Department for Motors and Motor Vehicles – University in Sarajevo. In the company Famos/Daimler-Benz, in 1990, he finished the professional education in the field of market economy according to McKinsey in the area of factory restructuring mechanisms. Since 1983 until 1990 he was Head of development in the company TMD Gradačac Famos, and in the period between 1990 and 1996 he was Chairman of the Managing Board and then Director, while from 2001 until 2013 he was CEO at the company TMD - Automotive Industry (CIMOS TMD). Until 2015 he ran his own business (metal-processing – automotive industry), and was the Member of the Supervisory Boards in ”WAGNER – AUTOMOTIVE” and ”FURNITURE / NAMJEŠTAJ” Stock Co. Gradačac. He was involved in several projects: TMD – Automotive Industry (the major owner was Cimos Slovenia), which company had become the fifth largest exporter to BiH and one of the soundest factories in terms of organization and technology applied; in the project of restructuring TMD Gradačac according to McKinsey and Kotler; in implementation of the Law on Privatization; in FAMOS Sarajevo used to work on the issue “Feeding the T84 tank engine with a low-pressure pump”. He was involved in creation of a cluster cooperating with the automotive industry throughout Europe. He was an active member of the Council of the Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo, where he had occasionally delivered the lectures to the post-graduate students in the field of “Marketing Management in Practice”. He is President of the FC Zvijezda - Gradačac, and also the President of the Association for Entrepreneurship and Business Gradačac. During the 1992 – 1995 war, as volunteer /soldier he was member of the 107th Gradačac Brigade of the BiH Army and Leader of the project for production of arms and military equipment at TMD Gradačac. He belongs to the Bosniak ethnicity. Married, has three daughters.

Powers of the Prime Minister:

  • To implement the policy and enforce the Federal Authority Laws, including to ensure execution of the Decisions passed by the courts of law of the Federation;
  • To submit proposal for dismissal of the President of the Federation from his position, pursuant to the Article IV B.3. (2) of the Constitution of the Federation BiH;
  • To submit proposals and issue recommendations in area of legislation;
  • To prepare the proposal of Budget to the Parliament of the Federation BiH

Deputy Prime Ministers are in charge of:

  • To exercise duty of Minister;
  • To assist Prime Minister in implementing the policy and enforcing the Federal Authority Laws;
  • To decide whether the opinion of the Constitutional Court should be requested;
  • To carry out the duty of Prime Minister when for the latter it is not possible to carry out his duty or when the position of the Prime Minister is vacant and all until the new Prime Minister takes the office of the Prime Minister.
